The diving spot known as 'El Coliseo' in the bay of Alicante gets its name from the structures on the seabed that resemble Roman coliseums. These structures were strategically placed to attract and accommodate a greater amount of marine life in the area.

The bottom at this diving spot is at a depth of 14 meters and is mainly composed of sand, with extensive areas of seagrass (posidonia). The presence of posidonia creates a favorable environment for marine life and contributes to the biodiversity of the site.

A notable feature of 'El Coliseo' is the presence of a skill circuit specifically designed for practicing buoyancy. Divers have the opportunity to perfect their buoyancy control while exploring the underwater structures.

Diving at this spot is done from a boat and is open to divers of all experience levels. It is an ideal place to enjoy the underwater beauty regardless of individual skill.

During dives at 'El Coliseo', encounters with octopuses, flounders, conger eels, and rays (skates) are common. These underwater encounters add excitement and fascination to the diving experience at this spot.
